Anyone "trying" to play FFXlV ?

I ask because I was certain I saw someone run past me in Ul'Dah today wearing a ROH tag. Is it one of us?

The reason I ask if anyone is trying to play is because Square Enix "GREATLY" under estimated NA and EU server space at launch and it has become a nightmare.

From what little I have seen, the game looks and works fantastic.. a classic FF graphics game, but until they upgrade their servers next week.. logging in is a nightmare!

They basically built "Buckingham Palace" but only put in a Doggie Door for everyone to enter.

I was in the Betas, it looks like a really good game. But, I'm sticking to one paid to play game atm. That will be EQ2 until EQN.

As far as I know there has been no one asking for a chapter to be stood up in FFXIV, Myst will know for sure.

Yeah that shouldn't be anyone from here that created that guild. Right now I don't have plans to play but might try it in the future.

As I posted earlier.. I HIGHLY recommend holding off for the moment. Until they clear up the Server log-in issue, you would just be paying to look at the log in screen. This might not be the game that carries us through to EQNext..

From what the wife and I have seen in the couple of hours we have managed to actually log in to play, the game itself looks awesome.. but only being able to play 3 hours together in a an entire week.. well we have spent more time trying to log in than actually playing.

I will keep an eye out for that toon that was carrying the "ROH" tag on Balmung server.. maybe see if it's an old member that has made a breech of etiquette.

I was able to log in this morning with no problems. Now if I could just get in during evening hours so Le and I can play at the same time. Oh well, the game is going to be amazing once they get the servers straightened out. If any of you do decide to play my character is in my sig. Maybe I will see you in Aoreza.

I'm really trying to get into this game.. but it's difficult... I just can't get past the Anime. Granted, I am still under level 10.. but ugh..

  The wife and I tried but danged if I can't remember why we didn't stick it out. We only lasted couple hours I think.  lol

I really wanted to like it.  The world looks so pretty.  I really didn't give it a fair try.  Honestly, I think I just played one day, but there was just something that wasn't grabbing me.

I had the same issue Myst way back when game was in beta. It's the main reason I never bothered with the game.

  Maybe one day I'll sit down and give it a serious try. I hear some really love it.

I have tried to download the 14 day free trial launcher multiple times, but it keeps coming up as an unknown file type/corrupted after the download. I did find the actual game download, but it asks for the activation key to complete its installation. Looked around a bit for possible information on this, found none, then got distracted out of boredom, and gave up. Must not be meant to be.
