Landmark Alpha To Start in Second Half of January  Looks like the fun is going to start very fast.

It will probably be Jan 31.

I think you are right.   So far I have seen Mid January and early February.   Still we shall see.  I suspect a flurry of news I the next week or so.

Finally broke down and bought the Trailblazer pack!

"Landmark's Alpha is scheduled to begin on or before February 28, 2014 and its Closed Beta is scheduled to begin on or before March 31, 2014. No further dates have been announced."

This a big one for those of you that do not have a 64 bit OS.

"I know a lot of you have been wondering about the system specs required to play EverQuest Next and EverQuest Next Landmark. And while we don't know all of the details yet, Dave Georgeson has confirmed on Twitter that a 64-bit OS will be required to play in the Landmark Alpha that's on schedule to come out at the end of this month"

Still nothing on system requirements.   At least this came out.

At this point I am up in the air on whether to get a new fancy PC or just buy a newer console. EQN is the only upcoming MMO game that has some of my interertest so far. Aside from ESO which will be on both consoles anyway. So many MMORPGs now, and most are just clones of older ones, or have controls that drive me nuts. Or just want to be a rinse and repeat to keep people playing with no real rewards.

Maybe it is just time to hang up the MMO gaming for awhile. /sigh.
