1 cup chopped onion

1 cup chopped green pepper

1 tblsp butter

2 - 28 oz can tomatoes cut up

4-oz mushroom stems and pieces, drained

2 tsp oregano

1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained

12 oz macaroni,cooked and drained

8 oz shredded cheddar cheese (2 cups)

2 - 10-3/4 oz cream of mushrooms oup

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup grated parmesan

Saute onion and pepper in butter.  Add tomatoes, mushrooms, and oregano.  Ad ground beef.  Simmer 10 minutes.  Place half macaroni in 13X9 baking dish.  Top with half vegetable mixture.  Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese.  Repeat layers. Mix soup and water.  Pour over casserole.  Sprinkle with Parmesan.  Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
